50 Pride Parades Around The World 🌎 2022 Map

Sexual orientation and gender identity are fundamental parts of our identity. LGBTQIA+ rights are human rights. However, humans are still discriminated against because of who they love, how they look, or who they are. Pride parades are no exception. To this day, pride parades are object of criticism, frequently being ridiculed and minimized.
A pride parade is an outdoors demonstration event which celebrates LGBTQIA+ acceptance, achievements, rights and pride. Most pride parades happen during June to pay respects to the Stonewall riots, a symbol of the gay liberation movement.
The Stonewall Inn, a popular bar with the New York City gay community, was raided by the police on June 28, 1969. This was followed by a riot by LGBTQIA+ people, thus why this memorable event is called the Stonewall riots.
With most COVID-19 restrictions lifting up, 2022 is finally the year when pride parades are back in full force all over the world. Mapify is committed to the LGBTQIA+ community and since our core is location and data, we decided to create an interactive map with 50 pride parades all over the world.

For each pride parade, you can find their location, 2022 date, date of their first edition and the official website. This data was collected mainly from IGLTA and Gay Travel 4u and the respective official pride parade websites.
